Andrew Lamason
BSc, Consulting Ecologist
Andrew gained his Ecology degree at Otago University before moving to Perth, Western Australia for two years working as a field ecologist. Here he gained valuable experience conducting baseline flora and fauna surveys for the mining industry. Upon returning to New Zealand he worked in local government gaining skills in environmental monitoring including water quality and quantity assessments, freshwater fish surveys, riparian and wetland vegetation assessments. Following this Andrew spent time living in Japan before returning once again to New Zealand to be involved with the Carbon and Biodiversity Monitoring Strategy as a field team leader and botanist. Since joining EAM as a company director Andrews focus has diversified to include native forest health surveys, wetland ecological functioning surveys, restoration and revegetation projects and wetland construction for water treatment purposes.
